KNIPHOFIA UVARIA “Red Hot Poker”
Family: Asphodelaceae
Sprouting: 21-42 days.
Also known as tritomea, t0rch lily, or red hot poker, due to the shape and colour of its flowers. The leaves resemble a lily, and the flowerhead can reach up to 1.5m high. There are many varieties and they bloom at different times during the growing season. The flowers are usually red, orange, and yellow, and can look like olden day f1re t0rches when in full bloom.
