Dietes Iridioides 'Fortnight Lily'-seeds
DIETES IRIDIOIDES “Fortnight Lily”
Family: Iridaceae
Sprouting: 18-21 days.
Native to South Africa, this perennial grows to a beautiful display of white flowers marked with yellow and violet with brown speckles near the centre, amongst clumps of narrow, erect, sword-shaped green leaves.
An extremely hardy plant that requires little care, it prefers a light to medium well-drained soil in an open sunny position. Ideal for mass planting, and fast becoming a favourite street planting with councils, it is also drought and frost resistant.
