Salvia officinalis  

A perennial to 45cm, this herb that is also a great companion plant for cabbages and carrots as it repels moths and flies. Can be grown outdoors, indoors, in pots, and in vertical gardens.

Sage has been used in many ways medicinally including mouth wash, teeth whitener and hair rinse and for insect bites and wasp stings.

One of the four main herbs used to create the ever-popular ‘Mixed Herbs’ (Parlsey, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme). With a slightly peppery taste it can be used to flavour salads, seasoning and even drinks like punch.
