This is a dwarf variety, growing to about 1m. Young pods can be eaten whole and raw and even straight from the plant, whilst older ones should be stringed before being eaten cooked or raw. Use raw or roasted for snacks and salads; boiled or steamed for salads, soups, stir fry, and more, even boiled and mashed for the famous Aussie ‘pie floaters’.
