**If it gets a flower, pick off immediately or the plant will go to seed.

Fast easy growing plant to 1.5m high. Has large green leaves with light purple undersides, and a taste between basil & mint. The taste different to Japanese Shiso leaves and have a larger, flatter, and less serrated edge.
Used most commonly in Korea as an edible wrapping for many dishes and shredded to add a lightly minty flavour to other dishes. The young leaves are commonly used in sushi, sashimi, salads, and soups. Also pickled to make perilla kimchi.
